Project Tempura

Last Friday was the last day at my current subsidiary for one of my officemates, Sham. He is moving to the Peninsular Malaysia Operations (PMO) of Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd. This the story of his farewell prank, masterminded by his two office room mates who shall remain unnamed in this post...The prank was code named Project Tempura... for reasons that would be evident at the end of this post.

The prank was set after Jumaat prayers. We had lunch at Sungai Besi and took the Plus highway back to Bangi. Just before Jumaat prayers his car was sent to be washed, which was when the stuff for the prank was set. I was in another car, car B those inside were all non-complicit.

After prayers, one of the pranksters asked Sham to stop by the KFC after the Sungai Besi toll on the pretext that he needed to buy something from there. In the mean time, the trap was set. In the boot of the car, two tubs of flour were readied.

The flour for the prank (note: I do not condone wastage of food stuff this way!)
meanwhile, the target was distracted...

Just in time for the target to be in place... and thrown with flour!! Ironically, he was dressed in all black with a black songkok making the flour marks even more prominent!

Target evaded to hide behind an innocent bystander vehicle...

Yes, the two pranksters had a whale of a time... As a bystander I was caught in the crossfire =(

Just when he thought it was over...

There was more.... (see the white ploom of flour above the care roof...)

Though it may look abit harsh, I've seen worse during my college years of guys being tied to a pole and both egged and floured on their birthdays. I guess some boys never grow up. Anyways, Sham will be sorely missed, his car was the primary transport for our lunch outings as it was the only NGV car in our office. I on behalf of our friends would like to wish him the best of luck in his future career at PMO. Hope he will find better success over there! InsyaAllah...
